Things that are wonderful about munich

so slowly i have been figuring out munich, i have the trains down pretty good and im able to get around with little to no german just fine,(but im still trying to learn). So this week i have learned that having a child in germany if you or your partner is working out here you get a monthly child support, which for having one child you get 184 euros per month, then the more children you have the more you get per child per month, our friends have 4 children and they get 700 euros per month, i cant believe it, and if i were to have a work visa or work out here then i get 4 years paid time off with full pay the 1st year and up 80 percent the other 3. And all of our medical is free and we went to the peditrican today just to meet her and sat in on our friends 3 month old appt and they took better care of him then our dr did of sophie in the states and she also offered to look at sophie in the same appt if i was worried about her being sick or anything! then right after the appt we walked over to a school that offers mommie and me groups where you pay 2.50 euros per day that you want to go and they teach them games and songs in german french and english and that way i can also meet moms with children my age and sophie can meet friends as well then after the playdate they have a cafe where you can get tea or cofffe and chat with the moms while the children play, so all of this is such a huge relief to me because i worry about every thing that has to do with sophie so now that she has a good doctor with a good healthcare system and somewhere to have fun i can breathe a little easier. Then we also found out that the apartment that we are living in you can sign up on a waiting list and they will call you when an appartment opens up you pay a fee of 2000 euros which is like a damages fee and you make interest off of that per year and you get an apartment right in munich for half the cost of the normal apartments and then when you move you get the 2000 euros back. so we will sign up for that and stay with rosemarie until we can get that apartment, which is great because rent here is sooooo cheap and we are able to save lots and soon buy a car cash for johannes deployments. so things are turning out wonderful here and we are able to have lots of help from the people around us which im super grateful for!!!!
